Baptist Memorial Hospital-DeSoto and the DeSoto Community Health Center provided over 130 flu vaccines at the Drive-thru Community Flu Shot event on Thursday, Oct. 3.
“We were excited to offer free flu vaccines to our community again this year,” said Brian Hogan, Baptist DeSoto administrator/CEO. “Getting vaccinated is the best protection against the flu and has been proven to help reduce symptoms if infection occurs after vaccination. Flu vaccines help lower the likelihood of infected individuals needing hospitalization, which benefits our entire community.”
