Marlon Carter, a chaplain for Baptist Medical Group Palliative Care, will be the featured speaker at the Rev. Jimmy Terry Preaching Series event on Thursday, Sept. 15 at noon at the Garrett Auditorium.
Chaplain Carter, a native Memphian, is pursuing a Doctor of Ministry degree in Faith and Health: Pastoral Therapy at Memphis Theological Seminary. He received his Master of Christian Studies degree from Union University, and a Master of Divinity degree from Liberty University.
A board-certified chaplain with the Association of Professional Chaplains and the National Association of Veterans Affairs Chaplains, Chaplain Carter has also served in the Tennessee Air National Guard for a decade as an Information Manager.
