Center for Career Development Celebrates National Career Development Month

The Center for Career Development celebrated National Career Development Month in November with the Baptist Career Carnival. Activities during the month focused on helping participants build on their strengths, set new goals and celebrate their career journeys at Baptist.

A professional development contest offered team members a chance to win a prize each time they completed a professional development activity in Skillsoft Percipio between Nov. 4 and Nov. 26.

Career advisors hosted a traveling carnival day, meeting with team members at Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi on Nov. 5.

On Nov. 11 and 12, team members joined for the Skillsoft Percipio Live Leadercamps. Topics included self-awareness and executive peer power. The camps were available on demand for those who couldn’t join live.

The career carnival continued with the Baptist Resume Ring for Baptist Health Sciences University students on Nov. 13. During the event, students met with career advisors for guidance on polishing their resumes.

At Baptist Memorial Hospital-Memphis, career advisors met with team members for a traveling carnival day on Nov. 18. The carnival moved to Corporate on Nov. 20 with a gathering featuring career advice, a photo booth with fun props, carnival treats and a giveaway.

The Baptist Career Carnival wrapped up with a Skillscan Career Assessment Workshop on Nov. 25. The workshop, conducted on Microsoft Teams, helped participants gain insight into their strengths and skills.
