BHSU Celebrates Fall with Second Annual Homecoming Event

Baptist Health Sciences University hosted its second annual Homecoming event on Friday, Oct. 6, and Saturday, Oct. 7. Current students, faculty, staff, alumni and their families reunited for the celebration, which included a concert and fall festivities.

Homecoming began with a free concert from Morgan James at Overton Park Shell and dinner from Central BBQ.

The festivities continued at the Campus Hub lot the next day when more than 125 attendees gathered in the sunny 78-degree fall weather, enjoying activities for the entire family, including face painting, bouncy houses, a balloon artist and a photo booth.

Participants came together at tables to eat and watch football. They also connected with classmates at program setups.

Inside the Campus Hub, alumni had the opportunity to meet with their program faculty members who were participating in a “Best in Show” competition to showcase their programs in creative ways to celebrate fall, Homecoming and BHSU. Medical Radiography won the contest after receiving the most votes from attendees.

Homecoming ended on a high note with a pumpkin patch on the lawn. Everyone was invited to select a pumpkin to take home.

Next year’s Homecoming events will take place at the end of October.
