April Fox is the new chief nursing officer at Baptist Memorial Hospital for Women and the Spence and Becky Wilson Baptist Children’s Hospital, following the retirement of Chief Nursing Officer Carol Thetford on May 11. Thetford served Baptist for 43 years.

Fox completed her doctorate in nursing practice at Grand Canyon College and brings more than 25 years of experience to the hospital. She most recently served as the interim director of Maternal and Fetal Services at HCA Houston Healthcare Southeast. Throughout her career, Fox has worked for women’s and children’s hospitals in Texas, California, Georgia, Florida, Colorado, South Dakota, Washington, Montana and Idaho.
