Baptist wins MPLOY award

During the City of Memphis Office of Youth Services July awards ceremony, Baptist won the MPLOY Youth Summer Experience Business Partner of the Year Award, and Lashundra Mickens, who interned with Baptist Community Relations, won the Youth Phoenix Award.

During the City of Memphis Office of Youth Services July awards ceremony, Baptist won the MPLOY Youth Summer Experience Business Partner of the Year Award, and Lashundra Mickens, who interned with Baptist Community Relations, won the Youth Phoenix Award.

Senior Vice President and Chief Development Officer Scott Fountain accepted the award on behalf of Baptist who was chosen in the large business category for demonstrating the most outstanding and innovative internships for youth. Lashundra received the award for youths who exceeded expectations through the six-week summer program.

MPLOY, a locally funded initiative administered by the Memphis Office of Youth Services, offers Memphis youth meaningful and rewarding summer work opportunities. MPLOY offers participants soft skills training, entry-level positions and internship opportunities in various career paths while considering their strengths and interests.
