Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union City Medical-Surgical Nurses Katelyn Austin and Jordan Lynch recently participated in Obion County Public Library’s Children’s Story Time.
“Our ministry is to serve and teach our community and their families, and those opportunities can be inside or outside of the hospital walls,” said Skipper Bondurant, CEO and administrator of Baptist Union City. “Supporting education is a big priority for us and teaching is a part of our mission statement. We’re glad to join with our friends across the street at the Obion County Public Library.”
Nursing leadership chose Austin and Lynch as ambassadors for the hospital for the story time event.
“Daily, these ladies serve our patients in a God-honoring manner, and we’re so very proud of them,” said Chaplain Michael Dennison, director of Pastoral Care at Baptist Union City. “I am pleased to announce they will both graduate with registered nurse degrees from Dyersburg State this spring. All of us at Baptist wish them continued success in their nursing ministry.”
