Baptist Union City recently hosted local representatives of the Women’s Missionary Union (WMU). Nursing Supervisor Jennifer Seidl led a tour of the newly renovated Labor and Delivery Unit. All rooms in the unit accommodate labor, delivery and recovery, allowing families to stay in the same room. WMU representatives prayed for team members and needs at Baptist Union City’s Hospital Prayer Cross.

During the visit, Skipper Bondurant, Baptist Union City administrator and CEO, and Chaplain Michael Dennison, director of pastoral care, expressed their gratitude to the WMU for their support, which allows the hospital to offer complimentary children’s New Testament and Psalms to all newborns and their families.

Baptist Union City expects to deliver up to 650 babies at the hospital this year.
