Baptist Tipton recently announced Christy Embry as a Service First Champion for the quarter. She is an RN in Critical Services.
Christy was nominated by her peers for an “uncanny ability to provide a sense of safety” through genuinely caring for and empathizing with patients and their families.
“We had one specific patient who would be saddened if Christy wasn’t at work. The patient truly felt very safe when Christy was there. This patient stated many times that he loves she’s here and she makes him feel like he might beat COVID,” said one of Christy’s nominators.
Christy’s peers said that not only do patients and families love her, but Christy is a joy to work with and brings an upbeat environment to the hospital.
“My co-worker goes above and beyond, providing laughter when needed, tenderness and compassion. Christy’s patience and effective listening skills make everyone she cares for feel extra special,” said one of Christy’s nominators.
