Baptist Tipton and Baptist Collierville Recognize Service First Champions

Baptist Memorial Hospital-Tipton and Baptist Memorial Hospital-Collierville recently announced their Service First Champions, honored for going above and beyond.

Baptist Tipton recognized Lauren Young, pharmacy technician, as a Service First Champion for consistently going above and beyond to provide the best possible service to other departments. Lauren is dedicated to doing great work and is pursuing advanced training so she can provide the best possible care.

“She demonstrates a true team spirit and is always willing to help others both inside and outside the department,” said the nomination.

Baptist Collierville honored Security Officer Kevin Hughes as a Service First Champion for his contribution in apprehending the suspect in the fatal shooting that occurred at the physician office building near the hospital on July 11.

Officer Hughes was on patrol on the day of his one-year anniversary with Baptist when he noticed the suspect. The nomination praised Officer Hughes for spotting the suspect and notifying the Collierville Police Department, leading to a quick arrest after a tragic incident.
