Baptist Restorative Care Hires New Leaders

Baptist Memorial Restorative Care Hospital recently hired Mark Kelly as administrator/chief executive officer and Latarsha Triplett as director of nursing.

Baptist Restorative Care is the long-term, acute care hospital located inside Baptist Memorial Hospital-Memphis. The hospital treats patients who require a higher level of continued care over an extended length of time, such as following a stroke or cardiovascular incident, after discharge from an ICU or step-down unit, during weaning from a ventilator or while receiving treatment for complicated wounds.

“Mark and Latarsha are exceptional leaders and will make a tremendous impact on Baptist Memorial Restorative Care Hospital,” said Chris Anderson, vice president of metro market operations. “More patients are in need of long-term acute care today. Mark and Latarsha’s combined experience will help advance the care of these patients and ensure Baptist continues to provide top-notch, long-term care.”

Kelly has more than 25 years of hospital administrative experience, with 15 years specializing in long-term acute care hospitals. He most recently served as CEO for Regional One Health Extended Care Hospital, a position he held since the hospital’s inception in 2013. Under Kelly’s leadership, the Center for Improvement in Healthcare Quality designated the hospital as a Center of Excellence in Long-term Acute Care. Prior to opening the facility at Regional One Health, Kelly served as CEO and administrator for various health care facilities in Arkansas, Tennessee, Mississippi and Texas.

Triplett has more than 26 years of nursing experience, previously serving as manager of observation, step-down and nursing staff development at Baptist Memorial Hospital-DeSoto. She is also an adjunct clinical instructor for Colorado Technical University, has held multiple nursing leadership positions and worked in the ICU, medical-surgical unit, rehabilitation and home health.
