Getting started is simple, and refills can be handled through MyChart. Let’s discuss a few common myths that our pharmacists sometimes hear about filling prescriptions at Baptist.
Myth: Only a small variety of medicines are available, and they are mostly what patients need when leaving the hospital.
Reality: Baptist pharmacies carry a large variety of medications.
Myth: You have to go through your doctor to transfer a prescription to a Baptist pharmacy.
Reality: Your on-campus pharmacist can call to get your prescription transferred. Email Benefits@bmhcc.org to get connected to your on-campus Baptist pharmacy. For mail order, email MailOrder@bmhcc.org or call 901-226-1750.
Myth: Only team members or patients can fill their prescriptions at a Baptist pharmacy.
Reality: Anyone can fill their prescription at a Baptist pharmacy! You may fill prescriptions for family members even if they aren’t a member of a Baptist health plan. Baptist pharmacies accept a wide variety of health insurance plans.
Myth: My hospital doesn’t have a pharmacy.
Reality: Not every Baptist hospital has a pharmacy, but many do. The pharmacies are sometimes out-of-mind because they can be located in areas you may not typically visit while at work.
Myth: I may not get the best price.
Reality: Often, a Baptist pharmacy can be the most affordable option with the lowest copay.
Baptist Outpatient Pharmacies
Baptist outpatient pharmacies are very convenient for team members, and they offer the friendliness of a small pharmacy. If you work outside of pharmacy hours, ask your Baptist pharmacist to arrange for you to pick up your prescription when you’re in the building.
A team member who works at a Baptist entity with an onsite pharmacy said, “Not only is the customer service outstanding, but it’s also a huge time saver for me. One less errand to run, no traffic to fight and no waiting in line at the pharmacy. I get an email in MyChart when my prescriptions are ready. It’s an awesome benefit to have it right here on campus.”
Baptist outpatient pharmacy locations include Baptist Booneville, Baptist Calhoun, Baptist DeSoto, Baptist Golden Triangle, Baptist Medical Group-Wolf River, Baptist Memphis, Baptist North Mississippi, Baptist Union County and Mississippi Baptist Medical Center. Baptist is continuing to work toward offering pharmacies at additional hospitals. Outpatient pharmacies are not available in Arkansas.

Baptist Mail Order Pharmacy
You may think mail order is impersonal, but at Baptist you will notice a personal touch.
The staff at Baptist Mail Order Pharmacy provides patient-specific care, and even though you may never meet them, they interact personally with many of their customers through messaging on MyChart, phone calls and email.
Mail order is a time-saving option, and there’s no charge for shipping. Prescriptions arrive via FedEx within one to two days after being filled.
Marion Hinson, who works at Corporate in Supply Chain, shared her feelings about using Baptist Mail Order Pharmacy. She said, “Using the Baptist pharmacy was the best decision I have ever made with respect to enrolling for my employee benefits. I can go online to MyChart and refill the prescriptions I need, and I get a 90-day supply delivered to my home! The generic prices are great, and getting my prescriptions by mail is truly zero stress.”
Baptist Mail Order Pharmacy is available to team members living in Tennessee and Mississippi. It isn’t available to Arkansas residents.
