Baptist Crittenden
Baptist Crittenden kicked off the Crittenden County Cares Bite-sized Benefits Series on March 24 at the Life Empowerment Center in West Memphis, Arkansas. Dr. Greg Kane, a resident fellow in Addiction Medicine, spoke to community members on addiction disorders, treatments and new substances that are being abused.
Samuel Pieh, CEO and administrator of Baptist Crittenden, and Sierra Butler, project manager for Baptist Center of Excellence in Addiction Medicine, also spoke at the event.
Baptist Golden Triangle
Baptist Golden Triangle leaders, including administration team members, managers and directors, dressed in Easter costumes and distributed candy to team members during day and night shifts. This small gesture spread cheer and showed gratitude for the daily compassion and dedication team members show.
Baptist Golden Triangle also held an Easter canned food drive called “We give because He gave.” Team members donated 665 items to a local food pantry.
Baptist Union City
Community members gathered on Baptist Union City’s courtyard on April 22 for the annual “Raising of the Cross and Spring Concert,” featuring the Voices of Proclamation from Union University in Jackson, Tennessee.
Director of Pastoral Care Chaplain Michael Dennison said: “This special event is offered each year to our patients and their families, our team members and the community. It’s been so inspiring to see how the Lord continues to bless this event.”
Mississippi Baptist Medical Center
To strengthen community involvement, the “Baptist Bone Rowers” team, comprising Orthopedics staff and other MBMC team members, participated in the Dragon Boat Regatta on April 18.
The dragon boat races featured teams of up to 20 participants competing at Old Trace Park in Ridgeland, Mississippi. The Madison County Chamber of Commerce sponsored the community event.
