Baptist recently launched its first Advanced Practice Provider (APP) Fellowship Program in Neurocritical Care. The intensive 12-month program, directed by Dr. Christa O’Hana Nobleza, offers postgraduate training to recent advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) or physician assistant (PA) graduates who wish to transition into specialty care.
The program will provide guided clinical immersion, didactic opportunities and structured mentoring to build confidence and knowledge. Ricky Kuykendall, Baptist Medical Group director of operations neuroscience, will provide operational leadership. Kiara Felix, DNP, and Melvin Dean Nash, DNP, are fellows in the program.
“The APP fellowship programs build upon educational foundations and support the growth of new clinicians in specialty practice,” said System Director of Advanced Practice Providers Amanda Comer. “These programs attract top talent, foster clinical excellence and create a pipeline of highly skilled advanced practice providers.”
