Baptist Memorial Health Care participated in the annual Junior Achievement JA Inspire Career Exploration Fair between Tuesday, May 14 and Thursday, May 16 at the Agricenter International in Memphis. Baptist was one of 51 exhibitors at the event, which was attended by 1,886 eighth grade students from 33 schools in Tennessee, Mississippi and Arkansas.
STERIS joined Baptist to offer a lifelike surgery center where operating room nurses from Baptist Memorial Hospital-Memphis volunteered to perform mock surgeries with students.
Baptist Cancer Center supplied colon education and tours with the help of MEGA Colon, an interactive large-scale model of the human colon.
Baptist Health Sciences University (BHSU) provided hands-on activities, such as viewing colon cancer cells and normal cells under a microscope, and a mock experience for radiating colon cancer.

Arcadian Ambulance also joined Baptist to demonstrate emergency medical technicians participating in field work at an accident scene.
