Baptist nurses fill ‘Little Free Pantry’

Baptist nurses serve their patients and communities in many quiet ways. Baptist DeSoto nurse Cynthia McCune, who works in the GI lab, and Marti Campbell, a nurse with Gastro One who rounds in the hospital, help fill “little free pantries” all over Memphis.

“We take turns with other Merge Memphis volunteers filling these pantries all over Memphis. They are strategically located in underserved neighborhoods. As nurses we give our hearts and our service to our patients every day. This is just another way we are able to serve our community,” said Cynthia.

Merge Memphis is a non-profit organization founded by Sherry and Keith McClure to help less fortunate Memphians. The ultimate goal is to feed the hungry, find homes for the homeless and provide clothing.
