Baptist Memphis Recognizes Jamie Brenner with DAISY Award

Baptist Memphis presented Jamie Brenner, RN in GI Ambulatory, with the DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses for her proactiveness, great attitude and willingness to help fellow team members. Jamie has been a Baptist team member for 13 years.

Jamie was nominated by a team member for her willingness to pick up extra shifts, swap a day with someone in need and stay late with patients. When the cardiovascular intensive care unit (CVICU) waiting room was turned into a unit overnight, Jamie volunteered to help even after working in her department all week. She was also the first on the scene to help a fellow nurse who had been in a car accident, staying with her until help arrived.

Jamie’s nominator said, “She is proactive in looking at the schedule and any needs for the next day to ensure we have everything needed to prevent patients from having their procedures cancelled. She has trained many nurses when they were new to the unit. She is extremely patient and makes everyone feel welcomed.”
