Baptist Memorial Health Care has been selected to acquire OCH Regional Medical Center, a 96-bed acute care hospital that includes ancillary services and facilities based in Starkville, Mississippi.
This decision followed a lengthy process that included the submission of formal proposals, along with presentations to the Oktibbeha County Board of Supervisors, officials from Mississippi State University and OCH Regional Medical Center.
Baptist and the committee will now begin the process of negotiating a definitive agreement. This partnership is expected to be a significant benefit to the local community and to the future of health care in Mississippi.
OCH Regional Medical Center operates 13 clinics and physician practices and has served a seven-county area surrounding Starkville since 1973.
