Greg Duckett has been promoted to executive vice president and chief legal officer. In his previous role, Greg served as senior vice president/chief legal officer. He has been with Baptist for 31 years, providing leadership, direction and guidance on numerous legal and strategic matters.
Greg oversees a number of critical shared services departments, including Risk Management, Corporate Compliance and Privacy and Security. In his role as executive vice president, he will serve as secretary to Baptist Memorial Health Care’s corporate board of directors.
“Greg is a brilliant jurist and an invaluable advisor. He keeps track of the many health care laws and policies that govern our activities, and he ensures we follow them to the letter. He is unwavering in his dedication to Baptist; the success and well-being of our organization is his top priority,” said Jason Little, president and CEO of Baptist.
Not only has Greg made a tremendous impact on our organization, he also is deeply involved in the Memphis community. He is the vice chair of the board of directors of the National Civil Rights Museum, vice chair of the Greater Memphis Area Chamber of Commerce and a member of the Health Facility Commission of Tennessee. He is a member and past president of the AutoZone Liberty Bowl Festival Association and serves as a member of the Memphis River Parks Partnership.
He served for six years as a member of the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis, and he served on the board of directors of the American Health Lawyers Association from 2003 to 2009. Becker’s Hospital Review has named him one of the “50 African American Leaders in Healthcare to Know.”
