The Baptist Memorial Medical Education department participated in the National Medical Association’s Annual Convention and Scientific Assembly in New York City on Saturday, Aug. 3 through Wednesday, Aug. 7.

“Having a booth at the National Medical Association’s conference assisted us with building awareness of our programs at Baptist Health Sciences University College of Osteopathic Medicine and Baptist Memorial Medical Education,” said Lakisha Bah-Stewart, CHW, MPA, system manager of programs and projects and medical education diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) champion for Baptist Memorial Medical Education. “Our presence at the conference also helped us expand our reach nationally and connect with students who are underrepresented in medicine.”
