Baptist Memorial Medical Education Names Chair, Professorships for Baptist Surgical Residency Program

Baptist Memorial Medical Education held a recognition ceremony at Garrett Auditorium on Thursday, June 13 for the named chair and two named professorships for the Baptist Surgical Residency Program.

Dr. Stephen W. Behrman welcomed guests. President and CEO Jason Little delivered remarks on behalf of Baptist Memorial Health Care.

Dr. Behrman was named as the John P. Nash, MD Distinguished Chair of Surgery. Mr. Little presented the award. Dr. Behrman and the Nash family shared comments with the audience.

Dr. Shaun M. Stickley was named as the Rodney Y. Wolf, MD Distinguished Professor of Cardiovascular Surgery. Mr. Little presented the award to Dr. Stickley. Dr. Brad Wolf and Dr. Stickley delivered remarks.

Dr. Ahmad Bashar Abdulkarim was named as the Richard C. Cheek, MD Distinguished Professor of Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Surgery. Dr. Guy R. Voeller presented the award to Dr. Abdulkarim. Dr. Richard C. Cheek and Dr. Abdulkarim spoke to the audience.

President Emeritus and Senior Consultant Stephen C. Reynolds offered concluding remarks. Vice President and Chief Development Officer Robbie Johnson shared a blessing.
