Baptist Memorial Hospitals Win MRHA Hospital Quality Awards

The Mississippi Rural Health Association awarded Baptist Memorial Hospital-Attala, Baptist Memorial Hospital-Calhoun and Baptist Memorial Hospital-Leake Hospital Quality Awards at the 29th Annual Mississippi Rural Health Conference held Wednesday, Nov. 20 through Friday, Nov. 22 at the Vicksburg Convention Center.

The Hospital Quality Awards, presented in collaboration with the Chartis Group, honor hospitals ranked in the top quartile nationwide for quality outcomes as reported by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services.

MRHA organizers noted these hospitals’ commitment to continuous improvement is evident in their investment in staff education, the adoption of best practices and emphasis on patient safety, making these hospitals exemplary models of rural health care excellence.

MRHA is dedicated to improving the health and well-being of rural Mississippians by supporting and advocating for rural health care providers. The association serves as a resource for professionals in rural health, offering educational programs, policy advocacy and initiatives aimed at addressing the unique challenges faced by rural communities.
