Baptist Memorial Health Care and Urgent Team Family of Urgent Care & Walk-In Centers are pleased to announce a joint venture that will create a branded network of walk-in urgent and family care centers throughout West Tennessee, North Mississippi and East Arkansas.
Beginning mid-March 2024, the current 10 Urgent Team Walk-In Urgent Care locations in the following cities will begin rebranding as Baptist Urgent Care: Bartlett, Collierville and Jackson, Tennessee; Batesville, Columbus, Horn Lake, Starkville, West Point and Tupelo, Mississippi; and Wynne, Arkansas. A new location in Germantown, Tennessee, will open in mid-March. The joint venture will eventually add additional walk-in urgent care locations, expanding access and convenience to patients.
All of the centers will be open seven days a week and provide treatment for injuries, illnesses and conditions that are urgent, but non-life threatening. Walk-ins are welcome or for added convenience, patients can schedule a same-day or next-day visit online with Hold My Spot® or plan a telemedicine visit. Most insurance plans are accepted, including Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Centene, Cigna, Humana, United, TRICARE, VA, Medicare and Medicaid, and cash and credit cards.
According to the Urgent Care Association, conveniently located urgent care centers are an essential part of care pathways and are at the epicenter of transformative changes in the U.S. health care market.
“Enhancing community access to urgent care is a priority for us,” said Jason Little, president and CEO of Baptist Memorial Health Care. “This collaboration will expand our non-emergency, walk-in services and make access to urgent care more convenient for our patients. With Urgent Team’s expertise in offering a quality patient experience for urgent care and Baptist’s long history of caring for Mid-South communities, we will provide a new level of retail-based quality care to the Mid-South.”
Urgent Team Chief Executive Officer and Chairman Tom Dent expressed his enthusiasm: “It is our honor to partner with this forward-thinking and nationally recognized health system. Across multiple states, Baptist Memorial is highly recognized as the standard for quality and compassionate health care. It is an established and trusted leader that combines quality, convenience, compassion and an exceptional patient experience. This combination and integration of patient care pathways will further enhance the already great health services provided to consumers in this ever-growing region.”
