The annual Head for the Cure 5K happens on August 12, 2017, and many Baptist Jackson team members will be lacing up their shoes to join the cause. Dedicated to raising awareness and research to fight brain cancer, races all across the country hope to inspire more support for brain cancer patients.

Sponsored nationally by the Head for the Cure Foundation, the event is as much as celebration of survivors and as a remembrance for those who have lost their battle. Founded in memory of Chris Anthony, who died in 2003 from a glioblastoma multiforme brain tumor, the race reflects Chris’ own love of running and competitive spirit.

A portion of the funds supports Baptist Cancer Services.
