Baptist North Mississippi hosted 18 students while Baptist Golden Triangle, Baptist DeSoto and Baptist Union City also welcomed dozens more. While at the hospitals, students shadow physicians and nurses in all areas, especially radiology, the operating suites and the emergency room. For example, Baptist Golden Triangle students participated in Professional Adventure sessions during which they spent three minutes rotating with different hospital professionals to get a quick glimpse of their roles.

In Oxford, students explored helicopters and ambulances while others learned how to suture, take vital signs or start IVs.

CRASH Course participants are chosen through a rigorous application process each year.
