Baptist Golden Triangle earned the Vizient Bernard A. Birnbaum Quality and Accountability Award in the Complex Care Medical Centers cohort. View a list of all the Vizient 2022 Top Performers.
Vizient uses patient-centered data from its clinical database, the Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (HCAHPS) survey and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s National Healthcare Safety Network to measure member organizations’ performance in six domains — safety, effectiveness, efficiency, patient centeredness, mortality and equity of care.
“Recognition from a national organization for providing superior care is a great honor and a testament to the diligent work performed by our colleagues at Baptist Golden Triangle,” said Paul Cade, administrator and CEO of Baptist Golden Triangle.
Nationwide, 148 hospitals were ranked in the complex care medical center category out of 650 hospitals participating. The Vizient Quality and Accountability Ranking helps participating health systems understand their performance against their peers and identifies structures and processes associated with high performance in quality and safety across a broad spectrum of patient care activity. The recognition period is from July 1, 2021, to June 30, 2022.
