Angelia Cheatham, certified nursing assistant with Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle, was selected as a TULIP (Thoughtful, Unforgettable, Lasting Impact on Patient Care) Award winner for the first quarter. She was nominated by a patient’s family member.
The nominator said, “It is rare to find anybody with the combination of qualities we found in Angelia. She was caring, competent, gentle and empathetic. She went above and beyond whenever she cared for my mom.”
Angelia received a TULIP pin for her name badge, a framed award certificate, flowers, a preferred parking spot, a banner to display on her unit for the quarter and freshly baked cookies to share with her unit.
“She is a fantastic and capable employee that you are lucky to have at your hospital, just as we were lucky to have her assigned to our room. Her skills were undeniably the best I’ve ever seen in a CNA,” the nominator concluded.
For the TULIP Award, the award committee at Baptist Golden Triangle selects one nominated honoree from the hospital’s nursing support staff each quarter who goes above and beyond to provide outstanding, compassionate care for patients.
