Baptist Memorial Hospital-DeSoto was a platinum sponsor of “Bridging the Gap,” hosted by the DeSoto County Economic Development Council at the Landers Center on Tuesday, Oct. 29 and Wednesday, Oct. 30. The annual interactive, hands-on career exploration experience gave 10th grade students the opportunity to discover potential career paths in several sectors, including health sciences.
Baptist DeSoto team members participated in the health sciences pathway, which allowed students to use interactive stations to explore careers in nursing, laboratory sciences, respiratory therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy, radiology and emergency response.
