The Critical Care transport team at Baptist Memorial Hospital for Women and the Spence and Becky Wilson Baptist Children’s Hospital observed Memorial Day by completing the Murph Challenge. It’s one of CrossFit’s hardest workouts: run one mile; complete 100 pull-ups, 200 push-ups and 300 squats; then run one more mile.
The Murph Challenge honors the legacy of Lieutenant Michael P. Murphy, who was killed in action in Afghanistan and posthumously awarded the Medal of Honor for his heroic actions. Registration fees support the Lt. Michael P. Murphy Memorial Scholarship Foundation, which awards more than 27 scholarships annually.
