The Joy in Childhood Foundation, the charitable foundation powered by Dunkin’ and Baskin-Robbins and the brands’ franchisees, guests and vendor partners, hosted a “Day of Joy” at the Spence and Becky Wilson Baptist Children’s Hospital and delivered custom Starlight Gowns.
The Starlight Gowns feature fun and colorful depictions inspired by the courage and bravery of pediatric patients everywhere. The Joy in Childhood Foundation’s three-year, $1.5 million commitment to Starlight Children’s Foundation includes support for the Starlight Gown program, which provides kids in hospitals with high-quality, comfortable and brightly colored hospital gowns to wear while undergoing treatment.
During the “Day of Joy,” the Joy in Childhood Foundation holds special events and activities to provide the simple joys of childhood to kids battling hunger or illness. In addition to donating Starlight Gowns, hospital staff and families enjoyed coffee and donuts provided by Dunkin’.
Since 2017, the Joy in Childhood Foundation has delivered nearly 10,000 Starlight Gowns, and the foundation will deliver 15,000 gowns to children’s hospitals nationwide in 2018-2019.
