Baptist Centers for Good Grief Hosts Holiday Memorial Tree Lighting

The Baptist Centers for Good Grief held a Holiday Memorial Tree Lighting on Thursday, Nov. 30, at Dorothy’s Cottage in Collierville. The service began with a time of reflection and remembrance, including the lighting of candles to focus on grief, love, memories and hope.

“We encouraged the guests to borrow hope from us this holiday season,” said Angela Hamblen-Kelly, administrator of bereavement services.

Following the ceremonial tree lighting, attendees enjoyed refreshments and a time of fellowship while admiring the lit Dorothy’s Cottage Christmas tree, adorned with star-shaped commemorative ornaments featuring the names of loved ones who were remembered.
