Baptist Carroll County earned accreditation from the College of American Pathologists (CAP) for its laboratory. The accreditation is based on results of a recent on-site inspection by a CAP team comprising practicing pathology and laboratory medicine professionals.

“It’s a tremendous honor to receive this respected accreditation. Baptist Carroll County’s dedicated laboratory team strives daily to provide quality health care to patients in our community,” said Brent Oatsvall, laboratory manager at Baptist Carroll County.

During the CAP accreditation process, inspectors examine the laboratory’s records and quality control of procedures for the preceding two years. CAP inspectors also review laboratory staff qualifications, equipment, facilities, overall management and safety program and record.

Baptist Carroll County Administrator and Chief Executive Officer Susan Breeden said, “We are incredibly proud of our team for their hard work and quality laboratory practices at Baptist Carroll County. Their dedication to patients is second to none.”
