Four members of Baptist’s Corporate Cardiovascular Registry team have been selected to present abstracts at the three-day American College of Cardiology (ACC) Quality Summit, which begins on Tuesday, Oct. 14 in Denver. Electronic posters of the abstracts will also be available for view on the ACC website.

“These poster acceptances reflect the team’s exceptional work in leveraging data to drive quality improvement and clinical excellence across our cardiovascular service line,” said Amanda Sesti, system director for Cardiovascular Services. “Their contributions exemplify the innovation, collaboration and commitment to best practices that define our mission at Baptist.”

Christy Avent and Dallas Clowers will be presenting “Enhancing Physician Engagement and Data Communications in EP Registries.” Melanie Foley and Melissa Lyles are presenting “Data-driven AKI Reduction: The Power of Data Transparency and Collaboration.” All of the presenters serve Baptist as clinical data abstractors in Cardiac Registry.

The ACC Quality Summit brings together the cardiovascular care quality improvement community, which includes clinicians, administrators and quality leaders. The summit gives participants the opportunity to share insights and drive meaningful improvements in patient care.
