Many physicians, emergency medical services (EMS) and allied health professionals, advanced practice providers (APPs) and nurses attended the Baptist Cardiac and Stroke Symposium, presented by Baptist Memorial Hospital-DeSoto and Baptist Memorial Hospital-Memphis, on Saturday, Feb. 3 at the Garrett Auditorium.
“We are grateful for this collaborative effort that brought valuable insight and expertise which provided attendees with a deeper understanding of advancements in cardiac and stroke care,” said Cheryl Berry, cardiovascular service line director at Baptist DeSoto.
Physicians presented information on best practices, diagnosis and treatment of cardiac and stroke patients, recent clinical trial evidence, case studies and the future of cardiology.
“The knowledge that was shared and the interactive learning environment with those in attendance was invaluable as we strive to be the leader in cardiac and stroke care in our communities,” said Dr. Arie Szatkowski, system quality cardiac medical director.
