Baptist Calhoun recently celebrated National Skilled Nursing Care Week with a blast. Residents and team members enjoyed a balloon launch, cookout, games and a fashion show. The week’s festivities included Sports Day, Country Day, Rock ‘n Roll Day, Hawaiian Day and Hollywood Day.
Established by the American Health Care Association in 1967, National Skilled Nursing Care Week recognizes the role of skilled nursing care centers in caring for America’s seniors and individuals with disabilities. This year’s theme was “Celebrating Life’s Stories,” a tribute to life’s most significant events, relationships and experiences that shape the unique perspectives of residents, families, staff, and volunteers in long-term and post-acute care.
