Baptist brings health information to the community

Several Baptist team members took time out of their busy schedules recently to educate the community on important health topics.

Andrew Bell, Baptist Cancer Center’s genetic counselor, spoke to more than 350 breast cancer survivors at the 2018 Susan G. Komen Memphis-MidSouth Mississippi Survivor & Those Living with MBC Luncheon. Andrew explained the importance of genetic testing in the fight against breast cancer.

The Children’s Museum of Memphis hosted a “Night at the Museum,” where, like in the movie of the same name, the exhibits came to life. Baptist’s PD Healthy Habitat exhibit featured a personal appearance from PD Parrot, Baptist’s pediatric mascot, and his “pediatric nurse.” Baptist encouraged healthy habits to the 1,555 in attendance.
