Baptist Booneville and Corporate Recognize Service First Champions

Baptist Memorial Hospital-Booneville and Baptist Corporate Office honored Service First Champions for going above and beyond. Keep reading to learn more about the great work done by fellow Baptist team members.

Amy Hatcher, RN, was chosen as the first quarter Service First Champion at Baptist Booneville. Amy was nominated for volunteering to work on her day off to help out during a busy time in the Emergency department.

“Amy came in, and thank God she did, because 16 more patients signed in that night before midnight,” said the nominator. “Because of her selflessness, we were able to sail through the unusually high number of patients without much stress.”

Jennifer Barfoot, Telecom engineer, earned Service First Champion recognition at Corporate for the fourth quarter of 2024. She was honored for completing more than 100 Google phone verifications for Baptist Medical Group. According to the nomination, Jennifer went above and beyond by spending time in the evenings on the project that required live Google phone calls to obtain unique codes to verify ownership of business listings.

“When we updated the clinic managers in May that Jennifer with Telecom was willing and able to help us, there was relief and appreciation felt across Baptist Medical Group,” said the nominator. “Without ownership verification of these Google business listings, Baptist Medical Group leaders would not have been able to respond to online reviews. Without review responses, these listings would appear unmonitored, and leaders would not have been able to respond to reviews when patients needed further assistance.”
