Baptist Memorial Hospital-Attala hosted an event on Tuesday, Oct. 17, to celebrate being named a top 20 critical access hospital for Best Practice in Quality by the National Rural Health Association (NRHA).
Mac Flynt, CEO and administrator of Baptist Attala, welcomed guests. He also offered closing remarks, speaking on the significance of the achievement: “The National Rural Health Association has named our hospital among the top 20 critical access hospitals for Best Practice in Quality. That’s a significant achievement for any hospital, and it’s historic for us!”
The Rev. Heath Ferguson, interim system director of pastoral care, gave the invocation.
Chris Anderson, executive vice president and chief operating officer for Baptist Memorial Health Care, spoke on the history of Baptist Attala and its road to becoming a critical access hospital recognized for quality.
Rep. Jason White, who represents Attala in the Mississippi House of Representatives and serves as speaker pro tempore, gave a speech on the importance of access to quality care, followed by Dr. Gary Wallace, chief of staff at Baptist Attala, who spoke on the staff’s commitment to quality care.
