The Baptist Memorial Health Care Foundation’s Art of Caring event and auction raised more than $204,000 in cash and in-kind gifts for the Kemmons Wilson Family Center for Good Grief. Many supporters placed bids online, and 229 attended the event at the Children’s Museum of Memphis on Thursday, April 20. Several local businesses donated items for the silent auction, with 52 artists represented.
Attendees enjoyed a night of live jazz with delicious food and drinks, rides on the 1909 Grand Carousel and keepsake photos from the Tickled Pink Photo Booth.
“It was great to be with so many of our loyal supporters for Baptist Art of Caring to raise funds for the free grief counseling that we provide for our community. We couldn’t do this work without the generosity of our donors,” said Angela Hamblen Kelly, administrator of bereavement services.
