American Society of Clinical Oncology Honors Dr. Osarogiagbon

Dr. Raymond Osarogiagbon, chief scientist for Baptist Memorial Health Care and director of the Multidisciplinary Thoracic Oncology Program and the Thoracic Oncology Research Group at Baptist Cancer Center, has been named a fellow of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (FASCO).

FASCO recognizes members of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) for their extraordinary volunteer service, significant contributions to the specialty of oncology and extraordinary dedication to improving outcomes for cancer patients. Dr. Osarogiagbon was one of 50 members worldwide to earn the FASCO designation in 2024.

“I am delighted to be honored as a fellow of the American Society of Clinical Oncology,” said Dr. Osarogiagbon. “To work alongside other scientists and physicians through organizations, such as ASCO, to collectively advance cancer science and precision oncology to benefit patients is a true privilege. This honor is also a testament to the impressive outcomes of the Mid-South Miracle and other innovative work we’re doing at Baptist.”

Dr. Osarogiagbon has been a member of ASCO since 2002. His roles have included serving as chair of the ASCO Research Committee from 2023–24 and chair of the 2024 ASCO Quality Symposium.
