The Baptist Memorial Health Care Foundation recently received a $47,500 grant from the Pink Ribbon Open Benefiting Breast Cancer Research. Presented by the Breast Cancer Eradication Initiative, the Pink Ribbon Open has granted more than $3.3 million to help fight breast cancer in the last 22 years.
Baptist joins past grant recipients, including The Germantown Cancer Foundation, The Julie Baier Breast Cancer Foundation, Wings Cancer Foundation, Lifeblood, and Sharin’ and Carin’ Breast Cancer Education and Support Group.
These grants benefit patients who qualify to receive mammography screening and diagnostic exams, both on the Mobile Mammography Unit and at the Women’s Health Center. In 2016, the Pink Ribbon Open gave a total of $135,500.
