21st Annual Duck Classic Raises Record Amount for NEA Baptist Charitable Foundation

NEA Baptist Charitable Foundation is excited to announce a new record level of fundraising for Duck Classic, a two-day event that kicked off on Friday, Dec. 8 at the First National Bank Arena in Jonesboro, Arkansas. The 21st annual Duck Classic raised more than $825,000 to fund the operations of six key NEA Baptist Foundation programs that provide free services to the communities NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital serves.

Duck Classic is a charity duck hunting competition consisting of a banquet followed by a tournament-style hunt where point values are awarded for various duck species and genders. The event attracts participants from 10 states and corporate sponsors from worldwide leaders in the duck hunting industry.

This year, thousands filled First National Bank Arena for the banquet, which included dinner, raffles and the largest live and silent auction lots to date. The auctions raised more than ever in the history of the event.

“Our community support is at an all-time high,” said NEA Baptist Charitable Foundation Executive Director Kim Provost. “We are extremely thankful for everyone who has helped make Duck Classic a success. From committee members, volunteers, landowners, sponsors and attendees – it takes so much effort to pull off an event of this caliber. The funds raised will help fill needs throughout the community.”
