No limit on NEA Baptist Duck Classic success

Baptist called all duck hunters home again for the annual NEA Baptist Duck Classic.

Baptist called all duck hunters home again for the annual NEA Baptist Duck Classic. Another wildly successfully event, the 15th Anniversary Duck Classic brought 1,600 people from 10 states to hunt for a good cause.

“NEA Baptist Charitable Foundation’s Duck Classic has become one of the largest fundraisers in Northeast Arkansas. Thanks to the wonderful colleagues of NEA Baptist who volunteered to help make this event happen, this year’s event was the biggest ever, raising over $593,000,” said Robbie Johnson, executive director of the NEA Baptist Charitable Foundation.

The funds raised will benefit the recently opened NEA Baptist Center for Good Grief and five other foundation programs.

“We are proud that the 15th Anniversary Duck Classic has continued the tradition and has had another record-breaking year, “ said Brad Parsons, CEO, NEA Baptist. “On behalf of NEA Baptist, I would like to thank our local and national sponsors, our landowners, hunters, donors, banquet attendees, steering committee and volunteers. Their support has been instrumental in the success and growth of this event, and it would not be possible without them.”

Twenty-nine teams of four hunters each braved frigid temperatures to compete in the duck hunt. This year, the first place team won $1,000 each in merchandise, donated by Drake. Second place won Banded waders and third place winners won Frog Togg waders, both donated by DNW Outdoors.
