Baptist announced today that select physicians from Boston Baskin Cancer Foundation, The Jones Clinic, Family Cancer Center and Integrity Oncology, have joined together as part of Baptist Cancer Center.
According to Baptist leadership, adding these physicians from some of the most trusted names in cancer care augments Baptist Cancer Center’s mission of providing exceptional cancer care in the Mid-South area.
“With transformative initiatives focusing on new cancer care models, life-saving clinical trials, research grants and specialized services like haplo-identical transplants, the Baptist Cancer Center and its physicians are changing the delivery of cancer care in the Mid-South to offer patients access to more treatment options,” said Dr. Mark Swanson, vice president and chief medical officer for Baptist, and CEO of Baptist Medical Group.
An anchor and pioneer in the Memphis health care market since 1912, Baptist has 17 hospitals in Tennessee, Arkansas and Mississippi, according to hospital leadership, and offers cancer services at many of those facilities.
“Through the Baptist Cancer Center network of physicians and advanced services, patients in the areas Baptist serves will have access to world-class cancer treatment close to home,” said Swanson.
