Baptist leads tour of Patient Placement Center

Thanks to Baptist’s Reverend Keith Norman, vice president of government affairs, and the Office of Government Relations, community leaders and Baptist senior leadership enjoyed a first-hand tour of Baptist’s new Patient Placement Center.

The two-hour tour involved Baptist President and CEO Jason Little; Executive Vice President and COO Dr. Paul DePriest; Dana Dye, vice president and CEO and administrator of Baptist Memphis; Sam Lynd, emergency department service line administrator and CEO and administrator of Baptist Tipton; Greg Duckett, senior vice president and chief legal officer; and Pat Hayes of corporate administration.

The tour also included discussions with the Memphis Fire Department and Emergency Medical Services team to talk about strategies for improving patient care and decreasing service times. Gina Sweat, director of Memphis Fire Services; Pam Kiestler, chief of Emergency Medical Services/Memphis Fire Services; and Kevin Spratlin, a firefighter and paramedic, all joined the tour.

According to recent data, Baptist has the best off-load time as compared to other large facilities in the Memphis/Shelby County area.
