Lunching with Leaders

Two weeks ago, we hosted a lunch for top officials in the communities we serve. Senators and representatives from all three states along with police chiefs, chairs of chambers of commerce, school superintendents and six mayors from the markets we serve attended the event. It was my privilege to update these leaders on our accomplishments during the past few years and our future plans in the Memphis area and throughout the Mid-South.

Not only did these leaders learn more about Baptist, they had the opportunity to meet one-on-one with our hospital and system leadership teams. I enjoyed getting to know them and learning more about their opinions and concerns. It was a great day.

You are the primary reason for our success, but we need the support of these community leaders to reach our goals and continue to enhance the care we provide our patients. It was wonderful to see so many of them take time out of their day to attend this event. They obviously value their relationship with us, and they recognize how important our presence is in their communities. It’s a testament to how well all of you, leaders and front-line staff, are taking exceptional care of our patients and communities. Thank you for all you do to make Baptist better.
