St. Mary’s Students’ Service Project Warms Hearts

A group of sixth grade students from St. Mary’s Episcopal School found the perfect “hands on” service project as they considered ideas. “We were looking for a service project that would be hands on and hold special meaning for the girls,” said Caroline Williams, who works at St. Mary’s.

Because of the connection, Caroline has been able to familiarize the students with the work and patients at the Baptist Reynolds Hospice House. The students chose to craft blankets for the patients, and in the end, made 14 blankets to give away. Attached to each blanket was a message that read, “These blankets were made with loving hands.”
