Baptist Golden Triangle Receives EMCC ‘Best Practices’ Award

Baptist Golden Triangle received the East Mississippi Community College’s Workforce Services “Best Practices Award” at the college’s recent annual industry appreciation luncheon. The hospital has been recognized for its workforce training, quality management and business practices.

Baptist Golden Triangle is among several area businesses and industries that partner with EMCC’s Workforce Services to help meet its workforce training needs. Training can be tailored to the employee’s needs and provided at the EMCC campus, or the business or industry can identify subject area experts in-house to train onsite.

The hospital earned the Best Practices Award for “providing outstanding examples of workforce training, quality management and business practices that serve as models for others.”

“East Mississippi Community College is proud to be your partner,” EMCC President Dr. Thomas Huebner Jr. told the large crowd, which included industry and business leaders, elected officials and local and state economic development professionals.

“Baptist Golden Triangle’s investment in employee training speaks life into their mission to provide the best quality health care services. We are proud to be a workforce training partner with Baptist as their employee training model advocates our belief that a well-trained, dedicated and competent workforce provides quality products and services, and they have the skills to stay abreast of cutting-edge technologies and practices,” added EMCC Workforce Development Coordinator Chrystal Newman.
