Baptist Cancer Center in Oxford Unveils Expanded Infusion Area

On April 12, the Baptist Cancer Center cut the ribbon on the newly expanded infusion area that now allows 20 patients to receive care with greater privacy.

The $5 million project increased capacity from 13 to 15 chairs, adding five private treatment rooms or curtains for added privacy. Located at 504 Azalea Drive in Oxford, the Baptist Cancer Center now allows 20 patients to receive care, including chemotherapy, hydration therapy, and treatment for rheumatology and arthritis. Treatments currently administered only at the hospital, including antibiotic infusion and other therapies, will be available at the center as well.

A light, modern design, the expanded area also includes the pharmacy and larger common areas. Wait times have already decreased in the last month because of the greater capacity.

One of only two accredited cancer centers in North Mississippi, the Baptist Cancer Center plays an integral role in providing health care access to patients in the North Mississippi region.
