Registration Open for Patient Safety Seminar

Baptist will host guest speaker Ridley Barron during its upcoming Patient Safety Seminar, “Every ½ Second Counts.” Ridley will share how he lost his 17-month-old son, Josh, because of a medication error—just five days after losing his wife in a car accident. He will share his thoughts about the importance of patient safety, as well as offer suggestions on how to improve quality of care.

Earn continuing education credits for attending one of the sessions. The seminar is open to primary care physicians, all specialty physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, registered nurses, pharmacists, residents and allied health professionals. After attending the seminar, attendees will be able to recognize how to create consumer/user friendly environments, express an increased awareness of individual patient concerns regarding safety, create patient-centered care that takes place in threat-free environments through greater awareness of safety issues, and explain concerns about the “second victim.”
